Leaves ovate, serrated, smooth. Flowers hermaphro- dite. (Dmis Mill.) A deciduous procumbent shrub. Moun^^ Baldo in the Alps, and Carniola, in the fis- sures of rocks. Height 2 ft. Introd. 1752. The flowers greenish yellow within and red without, the stamens white ; June and July. Berries black ; ripe in Sept. The plant bearing this name in the London gardens we have never seen in such a thriving state as to enable us to decide whether or not it is truly distinct. § ii. Fr&nr/ula Tourn. Dec, Prod., 2.
