The great hall of the hotel was elegantly decorated; stalls filled with the usual miscellaneous collection of fancy toys and needlework were placed on each side of the room, the centre of which was left open for the After going round the "fancy fair," inspecting the stalls and making purchases, her Royal Highness took her station on a dais erected at the upper end of the hall, Lady Churchill standing on the right and Mrs. Allsop on the left hand. Mr. Charles Reed, , read an address; after which Miss J. M. Tylor, Miss Dixon, Miss Catherine Paget, and Miss Helena Louisa Tylor, all dressed in white, presented a bouquet'.
