During the past thirty years, while all the other breeds have had their " ups and downs," the Light Brahmas have stood their own ground and to- day they are much praised, and as highly recommended to the general breeders as ever. A ny breed that can stand the test of rivalry so long and still continue to satisfy and please, must have qualities of a very high order. They are the largest of all our poultry, and furnish more pounds of flesh and eggs in twelve months than any other breed of fowls on earth. When full grown the cocks will weigh from ten to twelve pounds, and the hens from eight to ten pounds. One reason of their popu- larity is probably found in their general appearance. The white plumage of the body is relieved by the brilliant black, markings of the hackle, saddle, wings and tail. They are extremely docile, bear confinement well, and are easily enclosed by a very low fence. Our stock will be found to be as good as any that can be found in the country. The BufFWyandottes are among the newest candidates for favor in the poultry world, and magnificent candidates they are! They are not a sport, but have been bred scientifically since 1889, with the view of originating a buff Wyandotte. They are a fowl that has come to stay. For table qualities they cannot be excelled. They are hardy, mature early, and for broilers just fill the bill. As egg-producers they are excelled only by the "non-setting" breeds, laying large, rich-colored eggs. The
