Gusev Crater, Mars
This approximate true-color image taken by the Mars Spirit rover shows the Longhorn rock outcrop and behind it, the sweeping plains of Gusev Crater. On the horizon, the crater's rim is clearly visible. The view is to the south of the rover's position. The image is a composite of four frames taken by Spirit's panoramic camera on sol 210 (August 5, 2004).
