The side plate of 4 in. channel iron is attached to the sideposts at the eaves and acts as the upper chord of the side girderthe web of which is formed by the J/g in. steel side sheathing andthe lower chord by the side sill. The posts act as stiffeners anda number of diagonal braces placed below the windows are in-serted for further stiffness. All of this construction is thor-oughly riveted together. Holes 25 in. in diameter are cut outof the sheathing and in this are inserted the aluminum frames.
