Eugenie de Montijo, Empress Consort of Napoleon III of France, c1865-1875. A Spanish noblewoman, Eugenie de Montijo (1826-1920) was the last Empress Consort of France. She married Napoleon III in 1853, but was forced into exile in England with her husband when he was overthrown after France's defeat in the Franco-Prussian War.
