Her children were: Charles S., John, Elizabeth K., Henry, Daniel,Simeon, Annie, Sarah D., and Thomas Penneman Stetson, At the a-e of years. THOMAS PENNEMAN STETSON. (1) Thomas Penneman Stetson, son of Simeon, was born at Wash-ington, N. 11., February 1, 1797, and married for his first wife SarahWhite, daughter of James White, Esq., of Hampden, Maine, April 29,1823, by whom he had four sons. He was inclined to farming, and his father gave him the Millerfarm, situated in West Hampden, about four miles from the UpperCorner, at the junction of the Carmel and Newburgh roads, and soonafter his marriage moved to this. After the death of his first wife,July 7, 1850, at the age of 47 years, he remained a widower until ,1855, when he married Mary C. Holmes, daughter of Isaac Holmes ofWinthrop, Maine, by whom he had no children. He died March 18,1868. His widow resides at Lowell, Mass. All of his nephews holdhis memory in the highest esteem ; and they all can recall many pleasantdays spent during the Summer seasons at their Uncle Thomas houseand farm in West Hampden. The childre
