It was necessary to widen 36,157 ft. of streets and roads from 10to 20 ft.; to lay new 12,893 ft. of macadam, and to repair or rebuild1,770 ft. of macadam. In addition there were special items which included the building eastern terminal and 17 miles from New Bedford the western ter-minal. This power house is connected in multiple with the centralpower station at New Bedford, the latter plant feeding the line fora distance of eight miles from New Bedfo
