Thefoliage of the trees is then in allthose gorgeous hues that onh^Nature dare show. The maple,with leaves ranging in shade fromthe palest chrome yellow to deepcrimson, the ash, hemlock, birch,and the dark green of the gracefulpines, give a mass of color that must be seen to be appreciated. A walk through the woods at such atime, the ground carpeted with crimson, is like a revelation of fairyland. The tourist who carries a camera (and who does not now-a-days?) isgoing to have a busy time around here.
