It would seemto indicate that the brave heroes of thisdreadful tragedy are giving their livesin the same spirit that the Saviour gaveHis, as a sacrifice for humanity, to es-cape the hell of German triumph andtyranny. The palace of the archbishop, whichadjoined the cathedral, is a mass ofindistinguishable wreckage. We passedthru desert
