Among other busts that she carved from lifeand imaginary heads may be mentioned thatof Sir Joseph Banks in the British Museum, andthat of Thalia, a portrait of her friend, MissFarren, the well-known actress, who in 1797married the twelfth Earl of Derby as his secondwife. HER ART statue of George III., which stands over eightfeet high, and is placed in the Register Officeof Scotland at Edinburgh. Her uncle, LordFrederick Campbell, was at the time Lord ClerkRegister of Scotland, and to his influence, ratherthan to its value as a work of art, the statueowes the distinguished place which it is roughly carved, but was a gigantic workfor a woman to undertake. A model of an osprey in terra-cotta was highlyprized by Horace Walpole, in whose possession itwas at Strawberry Hill. Concerning this gift hewrote to Lady Ossory : I hope your ladyshipwill approve of the motto I design for it.
