The citizens of Lewiston are also keenly appreciative of the collegechoir and throng the chapel to hear the cantatas given in different year the cantata was Steiners Crucifixion and was perhaps the bestever offered. It is the opinion of the student body that the college choir holds a fore-most place among the organizations of the college. 96. MmB Husical QJluba Officers Manager, Elwood Ireland, 22 Glee Club Leader, KENNETH Steady, 21 Mandolin Club Leader, Robert Woodbury, 21 The Bates Glee and Mandolin Clubs under the respective leaderships ofMr. Kenneth Steady and Mr. Robert Woodbury, enjoyed one of the mostsuccessful seasons in the history of these combined organizations. Ireland, the manager, planned a trip which included Roxbury,Hingham, Woburn, Topsfield, and with the closing concert at audiences greeted the men at each of these concerts, and thesuccess of the trip may be seen from the fact that return concerts wereasked for in more than one of these cities. The concert program was well up to the standard set in former years;by many it was thought to surpass anything ever put on heretofore. Duncan and Mr. Carl Rounds, the readers, scored emphatically atevery performance; Mr. Maynard Moulton, the demon xylophone artist,was a scintillant solo star; the glee club was
