broken street lamp in "Puerta de Ronda" a deserted residential area in Los Picachos, Arriate Andalusia Spain
Residential complex Puerta de Ronda, Arriate Andalusia Spain In 2005, at Puerta de Ronda near Arriate, a development agreement with the council would allow the construction of 187 houses and apartments in an area of 110,000 m2 known as Los Picachos. This area is adjacent to the Arroyo de la Ventilla, a natural area of high ecological value contained in the "Special Plan for the Protection of the Physical Environment " of the province of Malaga. Because of administrative and other irregularities (corruption?) the development project was stopped. So far they have urbanized streets and sidewalks with sewage and electricity infrastructure, but the rest of the project is now a desolate and deserted area.
