His visit was part of a routine visit to the Horn of Africa and 5th Fleets area of responsibility. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend interests and support aligned regional efforts.
