A group of Anti-fracking Nanas promise to delay every vehicle entering the Cuadrilla shale gas fracking site off the A583, Preston New Road, near Blackpool in an effert to stop them fracking the shale deep underground for methane. Barriers set up on the eastbound carriageway for the work vehicles to enter the site and where the campaigners slow walk the vehicles to the field entrance, narrows the road to a single carriageway with temporary traffic lights and causes delays on the busy A583 Preston to Blackpool Road. Cuadrillas permission to frack the site was rejected by Lancashire Council in 2015 but overturned by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government in October 2016.
