Mani wall at the entrance to Dingboche (4410m) with May storm clouds rolling down the Imja Khola, Khumbu
Sitting above the treeline, Dingboche is an important overnight acclimitisation stop for trekkers on the way to Everest Base Camp, Chukhung or Island Peak and has a number of lodges. The spring trakking/climbing season ends in late May as the monsoon brings moisture laden clouds.
