A twin Lewis machine gun fires from a battle plane in the air, creating a dramatic spray of water as it hits a silhouette target in a lake. The photograph was taken at Taliaferro Field in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 8, 1918. It was later approved by the censor on December 13, 1918.
