A Carabinier sabre, as worn circa 1760 Heavy blade à la Montmorency, the lower third etched with the sun, moon and other symbols. Brass hilt with straight quillons, two lanyard rings at side, scaled grip and lion head pommel. Leather covered wood scabbard with long locket and chape and two movable suspension rings. Blade slightly over-polished, the scabbard with slight signs of age and use. Length cm.
