Nos. 2 and 3 are the same as the above in form and construction, but of larger sizes, and have points of greater width for digging potatoes- They are used in planting corn, ridging out land for root crops, and digging shal- low ditches. They are also much used in the cultivation of the Sugar Cane at the South and in the West Indies.
