An elderly couple watching two electric trams at the Laxey Tram terminus on the 17 miles long rail track connecting Ramsey and Douglas on the Isle of Man, Britain. A fleet of wooden electric powered trams built in the later part of the nineteenth century are still in service and its main terminus is at the Manx Electric Railway Company in Douglas. The rail track is the longest narrow gauge vintage railway in the British Isles The Isle of Man with its capital city, Douglas is located in the middle of the Irish Sea between northern England and northern Ireland. The island is independent of Britain and not a member of the European Union. It has the status of 'crown dependency', similar to Jersey and Guernsey in the Channel Islands But its inhabitants are British citizens. The Isle of Man is world famous for its annual TT motorcycle races and also it is the home of the rare cat, the Manx Cat as it has no tail.
