DAEGU, Republic of Korea - Military leaders, Korean War veterans, and distinguished guests took part in a September 22 ceremony in Daegu, Republic of Korea to commemorate the 1950 Battle of Nakdong. 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Commander, Col. Steven Adams, 2nd Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen Scott McKean and Korean War veteran Mr. Howard Ballard assisted in the revealing of a memorial monument. The battle was a turning point in the war and resulted in 8 Medal of Honor recipients. The event highlights the shared history and strength of the alliance.
