Discovery reports (1929) Discovery reports discoveryreports101935inst Year: 1929 MATERIAL EXAMINED 27 (a) The bottom sample consisted of about 20 cc. dark olive-green mud, largely diatomaceous. Foraminifera abundant but in no great variety. Among the rarer forms were Gordiospira fragilis and Hippocrepinella alba. The dominant species were Psammosphaera parva, Miliammina oblonga, M. aretiacea, Cassidiilina crassa, and ribbons of an organism suggesting Rhizammina algaeformis. (b) Organic residues, principally molluscan, angular sand grains and sponge spicules. Fora- minifera in the finer mater
