One of those copious and minutediaries, kept by the Moravians, says, under the date of 22dof May, 1747, John Bechtels house, which we use for aschool, is next to Theobald Endts house, and also near to oldJohn Stephen Benezets. Endts house is that occupied byJ. Handsberry, Xo. 4638. The Endts are mentioned indeeds of 1729 and 1745 as saddlers. In the Eegister at Beth-lehem, January, 1742, Endt is given as a clockmaker, but itis not probable that he did much in this line. In the earlypart of this century the properties, No. 4630 to Xo. 4638 in-clusive, belonged to a well-known family named Forb
