Answer by Miss Wyckoff—We certainly dorequire them to abandon their secret as the Chinese say: It is impossible forone foot to be on one boat,and the other onanother boat, because you would certainlyfall. Hence it is decidedly a part of therequirement, that when they come into thechurch they must leave secret societies.
