Whether the type was developed directly by selection from other Asiatic games, or by mixture with Asiatic types other than game, is not known. It is taller and less compactly built than the Indian Game, suggesting alliance with Cochins and Brahmas of the type first brought to America. American Standard weights are cock, 9 pounds; cockerel, 7 pounds ; hen, 7 pounds ; pullet, 5 pounds. The full-grown male of standard weight should be 26 inches high; the female, 18 inches.
