This Miftake arifes from his Charter grant-ed them in the thirty-eighth of his Reign, 15July, Anno 1365, for their carrying on an ex-clufive Trade to Gafcoyne, for the Importation ofWines. This Company was incorporated by LettersPatent, of the fifteenth of Henry VI. Anno 1437,by the Name of The Mailer, Wardens, and Free-men and Commonalty of the Myfiery of Vintners ofthe City of London ; but without a Power ofmaking By-laws.
