A sailing vessel has entered one of the locks on the Crinan Canal at Cairnbaan Argyll Scotland and waiting to be lowered to a lower level in the lock on its way east towards Loch Fyne on a sunny August day. The canal runs from Crinan to the west to Ardrishaig on Loch Fyne to the east and is owned and operated by British Waterways. The locks at Cairnbaan are manually operated by the users.
