His son, Ebenezer, who became a distin-guished clergyman, graduated at Harvard Collegein 1722. The English family bearing these arms de-scends from Nicholas Miller, Sheriff of countyKent (tempo. Daniel Foxcroft, Mayor of Leeds, countyYork (1665), was the father of Francis Fox-croft, an ancestor of the New England Fox-CROFTS, who married in this country in his sons occupied honored positions in thecommunity, the eldest one, Francis, as Judge ofProbate, the second, Thomas, as Pastor of theFirst Church, Boston.
