A silver sabre and ceremonial accessories for a Hungarian magnate, circa 1870. Single-edged blade with a wide fuller on both sides and a double-edged point. Gilt silver crosspiece with fine ornamental engraving, the quillons with hound head finials. The obverse side displays glass gems set in circles around white enamel beads. Engraved silver grip set with glass on the obverse side and pommel. Velvet covered wooden scabbard with silver mountings engraved en suite, also set with stones on the obverse side.
