War of Roussillon, also called War of the Pyrenees or War of the Convention, (1793-1795). Conflict between the Spain of Charles IV and the First French Republic. In June 1795 correspondence was intercepted that revealed French plans to form proselytes in many important locations. They discussed whether it would be many or a single Iberian Republic that would benefit Spain. One such meeting was held in a convent, the main members were friars.
