Yakushi Nyorai Ruriko Pure Land Pond Garden at Dairenji. This pond garden expresses the state of the Pure Land of the Oriental World or Ruriko Pure Land as described in the scriptures. The two-tiered waterfall stone is centered on the three Yakushi statues via a waterfall that cascades down from an artificial deep mountain valley and its purified water is said to heal illnesses. The standing stones on the banks of the pond represent the twelve divine dieties, each with a Sanskrit character embedded in gardens were created by Isao Yoshikawa, a modern garden designer who studied under Mirei Shigemori. The pond garden "Yakushi Ruriko Pure Land Garden" and the front garden of the main hall "Twenty-five Bodhisattvas Gai no Niwa”
