Skin spotted with yellow and red on the shaded side, and striped with lively red and yellow ui)on the sunny side. Stem f inch long, set in a deep depression. Calyx set in a deep depression. Flesh yellowish and tender. Flavor rich and pleasant. A New-Jersey Apple, supposed hy Mr. Downing to have been produced from a seed of the English Summer Pearmain. It grows well on sandy soils. 2.
