Unpubhshed work by geologists of ConsoHdated Diamond Mines, South West Africa suggests that the Buntfeldschuh-escarpment section may be more stratigraphically complex than previously realized. Local faulting and tilting in the section allows recognition of at least two marine members. The lower member overlies a remnant of the Pomona beds (here capped by Tafelberg Quartzite) in a small depression at the northern end of the escarpment (C. G. Stocken pers. comm. 1979)..
