The annual meeting of the Nebraska State Florists' Society advance an- nouncement of whiiSh was made in our issue of Februai-y 22. page 24-1, was held at Lincoln, February 25-20, the at- tendance being fairly good considering the cold weather. There was an excel- lent dispLay of flowers which was ar- ranged in the rooms of the Commer- cial club. The banquet was held as usual in the evening at which Presi- dent C. H. Frey of Lincoln acted as toastmaster in an able manner. Sec- retary Lewis Henderson, of Omaha, who has been ill for some time, but who now every sign of being in old- time forni again, read the minutes of the last meeting which were adopted, and regaled the festive board with the recitation of some beautiful poetry for which he is noted. J. J. Hess, treasurer of the Society of American Florists, made a rousing speech urging all members to join the national organization and also to be- como members of the Florists' Tele- graph Delivery.
