Grenoside Sword Dancers perform their annual 'Traipse' held during early January. Dancers line up ready to commence.

Grenoside Sword Dancers line up ready to perform during their annual 'Traipse' around the village held on the first Saturday after the first Sunday in January. The dance features a symbolic mock-beheading of the Captain who wears a foxskin cap. Seen here performing at Middleton Green Farm. Grenoside was once a separate village but now a suburb of Sheffield.
