Air Park at Moody AFB was dedicated to President George W. Bush who was a pilot in training at Moody 1968-69.


The A-10A Thunderbolt II is a single seat close air support attack aircraft commonly called "The Warthog." Equipped with a 30mm tank busting gun, the most powerful ever fitted in any aircraft. The Flying Tigers began flying this aircraft in 1980, and participated in Operations Desert Storm, Noble Anvil, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, and proved to be an invaluable asset to the United States and its allies, causing havoc on enemy ground forces. It is a single-seat, twin turbofan engine, straight wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic.
