We had been charged in the City of Baltimorewith attempting impossibilities, and I was almost brought to the convictionthat our assailants were not without some ground of complaint. Such was myanxiety in consequence of this visit, that I deemed it important to the credit ofthe Company that the impressions made upon us, should not be permitted to.
