A most successful flower show was held at the Chestnut Hill Club May 21 by members of the Chestnut Hill Gar- den Club. Most of the large private estates in Brookline, Chestnut Hill and Jamaica Plain were contributors. W. N. C. PITTSBURGH, PA. The Market. The demand for flowers of all kinds last week was remarkably good, with the exception of American Beauty roses. The va- rieties of roses in tlie market during the last week included Premier, Columbia, Butterfly, Pilgrim, Ophelia, Sunburst, Ward, Richmond and White Killarney. Easter lilies continue to be in demand and are practically cleaned up daily. Gladioli are also in demand and some of the finest ever seen in this section were on sale and cleaned up at excellent prices. The demand for valley the early part of the week was exception- ally good, but toward the latter part of tlie week some valley was to be had. Orchids also seemed exceptionally good and at fair prices. Other flowcrson the market included yellow daisies, calen- dulas, iris, narcissi and stocks, all of which cleaned up early.
