Wendover Dean, UK. 15th February, 2024. HS2 are building the 450m long Wendover Dean viaduct in Wendover Dean, Buckinghamshire near Great Missenden with 38 steel beams. The half kilometre viaduct will be the first major railway bridge in the UK to be built with a ‘double composite’ structure. The HS2 works have meant the destruction of a large piece of ancient woodland at Jones Hill Wood. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy Live News
