Well No. 6, which was the next one south of Well , showed a decline in oil from 40 to 45 barrels to 12 barrels during theperiod when we believed that water was infiltrating into the oil sandsin Well No. 8, and in Septeml)er,. 1917, Well No. 6 had increased itsproduction to 20 barrels of oil per day with an appreciable decline inwater, and in October the product
