5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 30, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Daniel Martinez-Lebron signals to an AS-332 Super Puma helicopter after launching from the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) during a vertical replenishment with Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). Truxtun is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
