Jose Morell (Spanish, 1899–1949). Spanish painter and poster artist, Jose Morell (Josep Morell Macias) “studied at the School of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungary in Seville, under Manuel González Santos. Later he lived in Madrid and Barcelona, where he eventually became known as one of the best poster artists of the 1930s. From 1939, he exhibited large format works in oil.”
