The Dandelion resembles Endive, and is cultivated for spring greens or for blauehing for salad. The roots, when dried and roasted, are often employed as a substitute for coffee. The seed should be sown in May or June in drills half an inch deep and one foot apart. The plants will be ready for use ihe following spring. Improved ITrench Broad Iieavcd. Leaves are fully double the size of the common Dande- lion, and known to produce at the rate of 1,000 bushels per acre. It is a great advance over the old variety.
