Lt. William Fox of the Signal Corps captured this photograph on June 29, 1918. It depicts members of the 313th Butchery Company marching through Newport News, Virginia. They were enroute to the pier to begin their journey overseas. The photograph was censored and released by the Censor on August 1, 1918.
