Church Point Louisiana LA USA. Rooted in medieval tradition of ceremonial begging, masked and costumed horseback riders "run" through the countryside "begging" for ingredients for a communal gumbo. Lead by "Le Capitaine," the riders ask for donations to be used in the gumbo. A crowd favorite activity is chasing the donated chickens.
