A corner window in the SE roomblock of Pueblo Bonito multi-storey Anasazi great house, Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. Largest and best known of the Great Houses in Chaco Canyon, considered the type site for the Classic Bonito Phase (AD1020-1120) of Chacoan Culture. The masonry style is Type III, and the ends of ponderosa pine vigas (roof/floor timbers) are visible on the R. Some of the corner windows at Pueblo Bonito may have been used to observe movements of the sun or the moon to anticipate calendrical ceremonies.
