UP THE SCHUYLKILL FROMCOLUMBIA BRIDGE. %^> which lines the River uponeither side, or of an excursionupon the miniature steamers,which during the summer con-stantly ply upon its placidwaters. Southward from Fairmount to the mouth of the stream, at LeagueIsland Navy-Yard (q. v.), the banks of the River are available forbusiness pufposes; though up to the present time there has been com-paratively little demand for the facilities thus offered.
