Both father and son have written no lit-tle for the American press. Mr. C. Dadant is betterknown as a writer for European publications, andhas been one of the main expounders of Americanmethods in Europe; and the Langstroth-Quinby-Dadant hive, introduced by him into the Old World,is largely used under the name of the Dadant CAMILLE p. DADANT. He published a Petit Cours dApiculture Pratique in1874, in France. To him was committed the task ofpreparing a revised edition of Langstroths book,and this he has also translated for publication in theFrench language.
