Jafar Gafar oghlu Jabbarly, (20 March 1899, Khizi - 31 December 1934, Baku) was the eminent Azerbaijani and Soviet writer, the founder of the Azerbaijan Soviet dramaturgy. He was a director, playwright and screenwriter.
