A Hollow Stem Larch Bolete mushroom growing on a wooded area of a mountain slope, in the north west part of Sanders County, Montana. The species is often reffered to by the Latin "Suillus cavipes", and common names "hollow bolete", and "larch bolete". Synonyms of S. cavipes are Boletus cavipes, Paxillus porosus, Boletinus cavipes, Boletinus cavipes var. aureus, and Boletinus cavipes f. aureus. Edible.
